Avantgarde Tattoo

I started tattooing when I was 20, while I was finishing my university studies in graphic design, in my hometown, in the north of Argentina.

Shortly after, I moved to the capital, Buenos Aires, driven by the desire to advance in my profession. Where I have worked in several different studios.

In 2018 I started traveling and I have tattooed in more than 7 different cities in Argentina (Córdoba capital, Jujuy, Tucumán, Salta, Buenos Aires, Corrientes, Oran, Jesús María) Spain (Alicante, Mallorca, Madrid, Barcelona) and Germany (Dusseldorf)

Today I have settled down in Barcelona. To soak up the art of this wonderful city!!

I am an illustrator and tattoo artist from Alicante who moved to Barcelona to soak up the geeky and artistic spirit that exists in this city.

As the good geek that I am, I have grown up watching cartoons and trying to capture them in my notebook. It was precisely my passion for drawing and anime that made me start in the art of tattooing.

I have been dedicating myself to tattooing for 4 years and a lifetime dedicating myself to drawing.

Today I tattoo both nationally and internationally, working in various styles: from anime and full color to realism with touches of neon.

What are sew-on tattoos?

Stitched tattoos consist of images imprinted on the skin that simulate sewing patterns. Although they were primarily intended to resemble the popular patches attached to clothing and accessories, artists have customized their style, and today we can find stitched tattoos that simulate thread embroidery, crochet, cross-stitch, or crochet, among other sewing techniques.

The acceptance has been incredible, and today countless designs can be seen on the skin of many people. The only limit when it comes to tattooing is the artist's creativity. It's a highly complex technique, so it requires a great deal of skill, and it's important to be careful when choosing an artist.

History of stitched tattoos

The pioneer, or at least one of the first tattoo artists to introduce this style of stitched tattoos, is Brazilian tattoo artist Eduardo Lozada, who has been practicing this technique since 2002. He began practicing it in 2017. However, it wasn't until 2019 that he first unveiled his work through his Instagram account, gaining many followers.

The excellent response has allowed his career to take off significantly: today he works at one of the most prestigious tattoo studios in Brazil, Tattoo You. The artist has also been invited to conventions around the world, bringing greater prestige to the artist and his style.

Today, other artists have personalized this style, gaining significant popularity and recognition. Stitched tattoos can be seen in Barcelona, Asia, and other Latin American countries, as well as Brazil. For this reason, it's now possible to find some techniques related to different fabrics that mimic the most popular embroidery styles, with truly unique results.

At Avantgarde Tattoo, we embroider art directly onto the skin. It's not just about aesthetics, but also about technique, precision, and sensitivity. Each line is drawn with the intention of imitating the texture of thread, with attention to detail as if it were a real textile. From the pigments to the work environment, everything is designed to offer you a flawless and lasting result.

We believe your skin deserves to be treated like a unique piece of clothing. That's why we don't copy patterns or repeat designs. Each stitched tattoo we create is an original piece, custom-made for you, that speaks to who you are. We don't tattoo trends, we tattoo stories.

Here, we don't apply designs: we weave them with you. The creative process is shared, intimate, and respectful. What begins as an idea ends up embroidered on your skin, stitch by stitch, with the dedication of a skilled craftsman.

Birds and flowers

They are the most sought after by those who want a tattoo that looks like it's embroidered on the skin.
